6th Grade English
Our English curriculum for the year includes skill work on parts of speech (noun, verbs, adjectives, adverbs,
pronouns, and prepositions).
The students also write several stories throughout the year. I will post the grading rubrics on this
website for your information.

We're back to the English book for our unit on prounouns. The students should work on memorzing subject, object,
possessive, and indefinite pronouns These are the skills we'll be working on

using who, whom, and whose
correctly
using we and us correctly
indefinite pronouns
On the assignment page, sometimes there will be
a "Basic" and "Challenge" assignment listed. Students have the choice to do one of them. The
points are the same for both. The challenge assignment is a little harder than the basic.
